Recently, Provident Personal Credit conducted a survey to determine the safest cities in the UK based on the politeness, trust, and happiness of the residents plus the level of upkeep observed.

The survey interviewed more than 2,700 Britons to determine which cities are the safest to live in. It’s safe to assume that these top 10 cities are also good for a female who travels alone in the country.

#10 – Edinburgh

Edinburgh is the second most highly populated Scottish cities, and yet, it still made it to the top 10 list. According to the survey, the Scottish capital scored a 7.45. Majority of the residents say that they feel very safe in their city. In fact, they highly recommend living here, even just for one day.

#9. Gloucester

Gloucester, a city in the Western part of England, ranked number 9 on the list. Residents from Gloucester rated the city with a 7.49. They are very happy living on this side of the UK. Every since day one, Gloucester has maintained its position in all of the categories. The city also received the highest rating for politeness and trust.

#8. Glasgow

Glasgow also received a 7.49 rating from its residents. It’s best known for its high happiness and safety level. It has faired better compared to Scotland’s capital, Edinburgh.
