India took a courageous decision to field first in the Nidaha Trophy final against Bangladesh. However, Bangladesh scored a decent score in the allocated 20 overs based on Sabbir Rahaman’s excellence.
In the chase, India was cruising along with Rohit Sharma fifty. After Rohit falls, Bangladesh came back to the game strongly with some excellent bowling performance. As a result, the Indian middle-order crumbled. Meanwhile, half of the batsmen were back in the dugout.
Dinesh Karthik came to the crease in demand of a miracle from him, as India needed to score 34 runs in 12 balls. More importantly, he was batting with newbie Vijay Shanker, which made the task even more difficult for him. But Karthik must have another idea, and he took 22 runs in the 19th over against Rubel Hossian to dent the hope Bangladesh. India was needed five runs in the last ball of the match, so only a six can win the game from here on. However, he finished the game in style with a six over the extra cover area.

After winning the toss, Mahamuddullah chooses to field first. Bangladesh did very well as a bowling unit to restrict India by 148 runs in 20 overs. In reply, Liton Das got out in the first over. However, young Mohammed Naim and Soumya Sarker did very well to stabilise the run chase. After Naim departed, Mushfiqur joined the party and took control of the run chase.
Moreover, he was absorbing all the pressure to make run chase smooth. The pitch was very difficult for batting as well. But he was standing tall to steer Bangladesh towards victory. His fantastic 60off 43 balls have allowed Bangladesh to win over India for the first time in the T20I.

It was the 5th match of the Nidahas Trophy 2018, Bangladesh opted to bowl first after winning the toss. India started the innings very well based on the opening partnership of Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan. They added 70 runs for the first wicket to give India a promising start. Rohit Sharma scored 89 runs off 61 balls before getting out by Rubel Hossain. He scored five sixes and five fours in his rapid innings. More importantly, with an excellent strike rate of 145. Although he did miss a very well deserved century. Nonetheless, his innings helped India to post a decent total on the board. They finish by 176 runs in 20 overs.

India chose to field in the all-important Nidahas Trophy final. However, Bangladesh did lose both openers very cheaply. So why they needed a big push up from the middle order to reach a fruitful target. Sabbir Rahaman played an outstanding innings 77 runs off 50 balls to set a good score on the board. He scored four sixes and seven fours in his innings. Although his brilliant batting was in vain due to some poor death bowling. While India chases down the score based on Dinesh Karthik first innings.

After winning the toss, India started the innings very well with the opening partnership. Gautam Gambhir scored 50 off 46 balls. Although he scored a fifty, his slow innings allowed the further pressure on the batting unit. Eventually, they needed something remarkable at the back of innings. Yuvraj Singh did come up with his blistering cameo 41 runs off 18 balls to shift the momentum towards India. In his 18 shots, he was able to hit the ball outside the boundary for 15 times. As a result, India posted a daunting total of 180 runs in 20 overs. In the chase, Bangladesh started their innings well by Junaid Siddique cameo, but they lost their momentum in the way through. They fell short by 25 runs.
